EU-Ukraine drone alliance brings defence firms together
A new EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance was launched last week, bringing together defence companies from both sides to accelerate the development of drones and counter-drone systems, with a Polish company among its founding members.

Drones are reshaping modern warfare, and the European Union wants to keep pace with advances in the technology.
The European Commission hosted the inaugural meeting of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance, an industry-led initiative aimed at strengthening European and Ukrainian security by speeding up the development and production of next-generation drones and counter-drone systems.
Addressing the meeting, European Defence Commissioner Andrius Kubilius said: "The Ukrainians are now masters of drones … Europe must be capable of the same scale, speed and innovation. Closing that gap is the purpose of this alliance."
